What are differences between
electronic and mechanical injectors?
Electronic injectors are unlike mechanical injectors continuously work by opening and closing. When the injector is opened, gasoline is injected onto the air passing through the intake manifold through the fine hole or holes with the gasoline pressure. In this way, fuel in the form of small particles moves towards the combustion chamber. Amount of the fuel that injector injects is directly proportional with gasoline pressure, nozzle size and duty cycle. Unclean nozzle can also impress negative amount the gasoline injected. In these results of contamination, puncture etc. are observed a large amount of performance losses from the engine. Also, if there is a hole in the carburetor, while the engine of the car is hot, it may not start.
